More about My Christian Faith (Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals?)
I put my trust in Jesus last summer of 1999. Since then, my life has been full of adventures. I'm the only Christian at home and by God's grace and power, He's been using me to be the salt and light in my family. Although it's not easy, especially when I choose to let ME take over, but God's been patient and faithful. Now, I'm serving Him in a local church through the music ministry. I didn't expect to be where I am at right now but it's Him who's been working in me and through me to fulfill the good works He's prepared for me to do. I'm learning a lot in discipling others (mostly 1 on 1s), and I wanna do it until He takes me home. I wanna pass on what I'm learning from Him.

Update on my family (May 2009): Early this year, my church family decided to hold the prayer meetings in different houses. We were the host last April 30. Thanks to those who prayed for my family's salvation. God is really working in them. My mother and sister-in-law received Jesus in their hearts during the prayer meeting! Praise Him!

And in May 2009, an evangelist visited our place. He went to my house first, sharing the gospel with my father and siblings. They had the chance to make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. For sure, God knows their hearts and He knows those who are His. After that visit, some have changed and some haven't. But God has been patient with them as He is with me. What I am grateful for are the good things happening at home right now that I didn't see happening before. My mother and my sister-in law are asking how to read the Bible, my little nieces and nephews are excited to hear God's stories, I've had chances to pray with my sister before meals, and so on.. Really, God is mightily working! And I praise Him!

The Faith of a Child

Last midnight, on my way home from work, my stomach suddenly got upset. It was so bad that I couldn't get up from bed. My niece, Joyjoy (6), woke up when I arrived home. She was looking at me complaining of the pain. I asked her to pray. She calls prayer "in the Name". So I said, "Joy, say in the Name for me, please." So she started to pray in our dialect. She said, "Lord, ayuha si Mommy, Lord. Tangtanga iyang sakit sa tiyan. Thank You, Lord." (Lord, heal Mommy, Lord. Take her stomach ache away.… Continue

My Faith Journey: Your glimpses to my journal.

Matthew 9:12-13
But when Jesus hear this, He said, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire compassion and not sacrifice, for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

My Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, first of all, I'd like to thank You for saving my sorry, lost soul. Thank You for healing my sick soul. Thank You for saving me and calling me to a holy life --not because of anything I have doneContinue

SS 2:8 Listen! My lover! Look! Here he comes, leaping across the mountains, bounding over the hills.
SS 2:9 My lover is like a gazelle or a young stag. Look! There he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice.
SS 2:10 My lover spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me.
SS 2:11 See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.
SS 2:12 Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
SS 2:13 The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.”

How sweet your love is with Jon-Paul. I will pray to our Heavenly Father that you will soon be together. No distance can separate the love you feel for another person. I have seen this weekend at a healing service for someone I care about but who doesn't know the Lord yet. But Jesus has empathy for our hearts when it belongs to another.

God bless you sister.

Rhianna.
